A.I is a way to make machine reason and act like Intelligently… The machines are obviously controlled by Computer Software. So for the machine to think intelligently it has to be controlled by intelligent software.
Machine Learning is a field under computer science just for the development of computers/machines with the ability to do things that are normally done by people.
A.I is all about giving the intelligence of human to a machine which can be achieved by understanding how the human brain works.
